We have a tradition of naming the keynote talks after illustrious scientists in molecular evolution or evolutionary genetics. Keynote speakers are asked to include a slide and spend a minute or two discussing the contributions of their talk’s namesake. Past keynotes have been named after AC Wilson, Dobzhansky, Lotka, Ohta, Wright, Waddington, Lewontin, GC Williams, Müller, Mayr, Woese, Haldane, Fisher, Zuckerkandl, and Kimura. New this year will be at least Menten, Pauling, and Jacob.
