FAQs
How do I get to the Meeting Site?
The conference is being held on the Anschutz Medical Campus of the University of Colorado Denver (room TBD). Please go to the logistics page for travel directions.
Are parking and internet included with the main conference hotel?
Good question. Yes, they are.
Is there any travel or other support available?
Please see registration page. We have travel fellowships and diversity fellowships.
If I am not staying at the main conference hotel, where do I park at the meeting site?
We’ve tried to arrange things so you don’t need to park on campus, but on the Anschutz Medical Campus, there are daily cash customer parking lots ($1/hr; $5/day) for CU Anschutz Medical Campus patients and visitors. Parking maps can be found here. The Ignacio and Georgetown lots are probably most convenient.
If I need a visa to enter the US to attend the meeting, how do I obtain one?
Once the registration fee has been paid, a visa support letter can be issued. Please contact david.pollock {@} ucdenver.edu to obtain such a letter. Please note that the time to obtain a visa interview and visa to the US can vary from country to country. If you have time-sensitive visa issues, please register early and let us know about logistical needs when you submit your abstract. We will make a limited number of early acceptance decisions to allow foreign travelers the chance to overcome visa delays.
Is it possible to obtain a refund of my registration fee if it turns out that I cannot attend after I have paid?
See registration page.
How late is the hotel pub open?
They serve drinks and snacks at the hotel at 5:30. After that, there are various restaurants and bars in the nearby Northfield Mall, although we know everyone will want to get to bed early and prepare for the next day at the meeting. Rumor has it that conference organizers or emirituses may bring whiskey with them.
I am interested in the ski trip! What is up with that?
Unfortunately, it is too early in the season to count on a decent snow pack for skiing. The mountains are beautiful though, and there may or may not be brightly colored leaves at that time
